The Mayor's reception was held on Thursday, September 1, 2016, at 8:00 p.m. in the Rathaus (Town Hall) in Vienna.

The reception started with a speech by an official from the city of Vienna, followed by a speech by the organiser of the conference. After the speeches, the guests were served drinks and snacks.

The Mayor's reception was free of charge for all participants.
